Miracles came to prove that validity of the prophethood and were linked to the claim of prophecy and were a challenge to the people, these miracles broke laws of nature or challenged men in matters they should be capable but Allah prevented them.
1 The miracle of the tahaddi (challenge) to produce one similar chapter [soorah]. No one has met thisinover fourteen hundred years.
2 The Quraysh and other pagan arabs accused Nabi (saw) of sihrul bayaan [magic of speech] they deemed it to be supernatural. They did not say Muhammad was saying something that was not worthy of challenge.
3 The interest of the Mushrikoon was to refute it and meet the challenge as they were mocked conquered and slaughtered but they could have prevented this as the motivation and order was from the Quran
4 Why would Muhammad not claim for himself if he wrote it, when the prestige was in this
5 It was not in Muhammads interests to stick to it if he was lying as it involved torture slander loss of wealth and much mockery when before he was honoured and respected. He was also offered wealth and a share in power if he compromised but he never did. Even after victories and conquests he did not choose a kings life of luxury, even though he could have if he was lying. Even within the wahi he was given this option but he did not take it. He lived in basic dwellings with little food. Many previous Prophets had much wealth and luxury and this did not invalidate their Prophethood. As for wives and slavegirls, these too were taken by previous Prophets and they were taken in greater numbers by previous Prophets.
6 Muhammad was warned in the Quran and praise of Muhammad was restricted by the Quran
7 Muhammad was reported to be illiterate
8 Muhammads ahadith were different to the Quran
9 It was in the interest of the other kuffar to defeat it as they were conquered and enslaved and killed in war and their own people embraced it and gave their allegiance to the ummah and enmity to the kuffar even if they were relatives
10 The Quran was not from an a’jami as this was an Arabic Quran and the early false claim was refuted from Allah by the fact that the Christian youth knew no Arabic and this was confirmed by the reality.
11 The fact that the information concerning the natural world is not contradicting what is known through scientific discovery. Some Scientific Facts in Qura’n:-
i Mountains are described as pegs or stakes that are formed deep under ground.
ii All life is based upon water
iii The worker bee has been described as female, this is now confirmed by the techonology whereby microscopes can analyse this.
iv The Earth is sperical
v There is a barrier between the fresh water and the salt water
vi There exists a barrier between oceans
vii The detailed developmental stages of the embryo mentioned in the Quran are now confirmed by modern technological analysis.
viii The origin of the embryo in men and women has been mentioned in the Qura’n and this has only been discovered in recent years by detailed technogical processes.
ix The detailed description of ocean movement “Waves upon waves” Muhammad (saw) lived in the arid Arabian peninsula away from the water.

xviii The fact that there are two points of sunrise and two points of sun-set has been indicated in the Qura’n
xix The movement of the Sun has been accurately described by the Qura’n
xx The movement of the mountains has been mentioned in the Quran. This has been confirmed in many ways i) Plate techtonics ii) The planet earth spinning on its axis iii) The modern geological evidence indicates that mountains are moving internally and externally, very slowly but so they are changing form.
12 The preservation of the Quran. The Quran declares tht it will be preserved and indeed it was remebered by the sahaabah and then passed through generations in text and by memory.
13 The Quran contains no contradictions even though it was revealed over twenty three years, in various circumstances and not compiled chronologically. The Quran was often revealed in relation to a question and often in relation to an event either before it, during it or after it.
14 The knowledge of the Quran about the unseen,
i) The past of which there is no access a) The preservation of Fira’wn b) The Resting place of the Ark c) The existence of the ancient city of Iram
ii) The future, this includes specific events and general information. a) Victory of the Romans over the Persians This includes the miracles of the sunnah and its prophecies of the future e.g. (the dissappearence of knowledge, the increase of ignorance, spreading of alcohol, competing in building tall buildings, the widespread zina, widespread luwaat including the marriage of males,
15 The impact on the hearts. People embrace Islam immediately on hearing the Quran and realizing it is not from man, they also embrace Islam on hearing the Quranic message and on hearing the rational and undeniable proofs mentioned within its verses.
16 The miracle of legislation (includes following I capability to follow ii comprehensive in accord with nature so that it fulfils the needs and instincts and satisfies the mind iii the best solution in individual issues iv the best overall guidance and laws for society harmonious in its parts
17 The fact that the principles of the language are known, mention the school of sarrafa
18 Muhammad was an Arab if he could do it then so should other Arabs be able to do it
19 Claim of Jinn authorship is false due to:-
I) Jinn were challenged
ii) If one jinn did it then others should be able to do it
iii) The jinn were criticized by Quran and Sunnah as were men
iv) The Quran was manifested on the tongue of Muhammad (saw), he showed not signs of possession
20 Not Satanic origin due to:-
I) Shaytan criticized, cursed and informed of his destiny in the fire
ii) Shaytan is one of the Jinn so others should be able
iii) The shaytan is of the jinn and miraculous matters encourage belief in ghayb, the supernatural and Allah this would contradict the aims of shaytan especially in an age when people have taken secularism and science and evolution as their religions.
Iv) The Quran orders the rejection of shaytan, sorcery and the remembrance and worship of Allah and the belief in the Prophets.
21 The planning, actions and speech of Nabi (saw) all prove that he was not mad. His behaviour and struggles also prove that he was not a liar but was convinced of his status of messenger. The two false claims of insanity and lying when placed together negate each other and each claim individually has no proof but is merely a saying and the proof and evidence actually demonstrate that both claims are false.
22 The prophet (saw) was prophesized by previous prophets and this was in the revelations to the Jews and the Christians. Neither previous group has any firm evidence that all the prophets have come. In addition to this the previous revelations were not preserved and they differ in some details with the Quran and it is the Quranic versions which make sense whereas the Biblical versions do not. The Bible contains many errors and contradictions whereas the Quran is an overseer and it confirms some aspects of the previous Books but negate false and irrational aspects. This all proves that the Quran is real revelation and it is definitely not copied and fabricated.
23 The first people to believe in the prophet (saw) were his own close family and friends khadeejah, Ali, Zayd, Abu Bakr. This would not have been the case if he was a liar as the family know the person well and the whole community Knew Muhammad as the trustworthy and truthful. All these people suffered in the way of Islam. Other folowers were killed and tortured.
24 Enemies of Islam embraced it when they were confronted with the Quran such as U’mar, they went on to struggle in the way of Islam. The same is the case with fierce warriors such as Khaalid ibn al Waleed. He embraced Islam later and any claim that he merely submitted to the might of Islam for ease is refuted by the fact that he fought in many wars risking his life and fighting bravely.
25 The Prophet (saw) family circumstances indicate that he was the last Prophet as he had many wives and had slavegirls but only left one daughter even though several sons and daughters were born from his marriages and through ownership.
26 The Qurans challenging nature indicates that it is not the work of a human as it contains details on all sorts of subjects and challenges man concerning them and the Quran calls on man to think and use his mind in arriving at the correct belief constantly calling on man to produce proof for his views that contradict the Islamic views. The Quran mentions many of the false reasons why people do not embrace it e.g. Not wanting to follow what others have, not wanting to leave the way of the forefathers, just saying things
